How to Handle Haters?

Have you ever been laughed at like you are an idiot? Today, I was.

Just to give you a little background, I was born and brought up in India and moved to US when I was age 22. I have lived here for over 12 years now.

The faucet in my apartment needed a 5/8" adapter. So I asked the store manager how do you measure 5/8th of an inch. He laughed hard like I was an idiot.

In my mind, I was thinking I should divide 5 with 8 which equals 0.625. But, how do I measure 0.625 inch on a ruler!!!! I was dead confused.

Later I found out that, in imperial system, you take measurements in fractions instead of millimeters. This is a new learning for me as my early education was in metric system.

Here is the moral of the story:
